General Information[]
You learn that a farmer north of the Trithik has sought the Silver Crest's help in determining the reason behind the disappearance of several of his livestock. Rynduil tells you that the farmer, Nurrit Fullbrak, has lost several cows and nearly a dozen sheep over the past couple of weeks.

This first, small, simple adventure is one of the keys of the legendary Sword of Merzekk.
Prerequisites[]
Attempt to join the illustrious Silver Crest.
Walkthrough[]
You stand at the edge of Fullbrak's pasture. You can:
- Explore the pasture.
You must make aRandom check (1-100 + Woodsmanship * 0.25). 40 or more needed to pass. You notice some matted grass and conclude that a thurn-worm and not a troll dragged itself along it if you pass. You then decide to hide near the field and wait for nightfall. See below...
- Explore the woods that surround the field.
You find a hole in the midst of a small clearing and suddenly come upon a large thurn-worm. You can:- Use your bow.
Go to Archery check below... - Attack the fearsome insect.
Go to combat below...
- Use your bow.
- Hide near the field and wait for nightfall.
Around dusk you come upon a large thurn-worm. You can:- Attack the thurn-worm.
You must roll a Random check (1-100 + Agility * 1). 50 or more needed to pass. You fight a Large Thurn Worm (9+ at MR 24-26 Approx, 25 SP, 1 XP), if you pass, failure not documented. - Use your bow.
You must roll a Random check (1-100 + Archery * 0.25). 40 or more needed to pass. You pierce its eye, killing it, and get +4 XP to the skill if you pass. You enter combat (see above), but skip the check if you don't pass.
- Attack the thurn-worm.
After defeating the thurn-worm, if you've discovered the hole in the small clearing, you see the soft glint of a small object in the hole. You can:
- Attempt to reach into the hole and retrieve the object.
You acquire a Cloudy Blue Gemstone. - Leave this place and return to Fullbrak's farm.
Fullbrak thanks you and presses a Cloudy Blue Gemstone into your hands before you leave.
If you defeated the thurn-worm away from the hole, you simply get the Cloudy Blue Gemstone from farmer Fullbrak.
Return to the Silver Crest amid some slight fanfare and receive a crimson tabard.
Rewards[]
- Cloudy Blue Gemstone
- 1 XP for killing the thurn-worm.
- 4 XP to Archery if you succeed with it.
- 32 general experience.
- Around 100 gold.
- Crimson Tabard (common). This identifies you as a member of the Silver Crest.
