General Information[]

A short and simple adventure. It used to be a free one, but became AG-only at some point before 12/30/18.

Tips[]

Fighting earns you a little more experience than non-violence.

Walkthrough[]

At the start of the adventure you have a choice:

  • Attack the ogres - you attempt to surprise the ogres: Random check (1-100 + Woodsmanship * 0.25 + Agility * 1 + Luck * 1). 75 or more needed to pass. You surprise the ogres, gain 64 general XP, and kill two before engaging the rest if you pass. You lose some Stamina and have to fight all five ogres if you don't pass
    • If you manage to surprise the ogres you fight only three ogres:
      • Ogre (1 of 2) (9+ at MR 43 Exact, 45-49 SP, 2-18 XP), special attack can do 9-14 damage, you have to attack 1 time before you can flee
      • Ogre (2 of 2) (9+ at MR 39-44 Variable, 45-49 SP, 2-17 XP), you have to attack 1 time before you can flee
      • Ogre Leader (9+ at MR 50 Exact, 55 SP, 3-34 XP), special attack can do 6 damage, you have to attack 1 time before you can flee
    • If you fail you lose 8-15 Stamina and fight all five ogres:
      • Ogre (1 of 4) (9+ at MR 39-41 Approx, 48-49 SP, 2-17 XP)
      • Ogre (2 of 4) (9+ at MR 39-44 Variable, 48-49 SP, 2-17 XP), special attack can do 7 damage, you have to attack 1 time before you can flee
      • Ogre (3 of 4) (9+ at MR 39-44 Variable, 45-48 SP, 2-17 XP), special attack can do 6 damage, you have to attack 1 time before you can flee
      • Ogre (4 of 4) (9+ at MR 39-44 Variable, 46-47 SP, 2-17 XP), special attack can do 11 damage, you have to attack 1 time before you can flee
      • Ogre Leader (9+ at MR 50-51 Approx, 55 SP, 3-33 XP), special attack can do 6 damage
  • Ask the ogres to leave - you attempt to persuade them to leave: Random check (1-100 + Diplomacy * 0.25 + Mind * 1 + Spirit * 0.5* 1). 75 or more needed to pass. the ogre leader gets tired of listening to you and the ogres attack you if you don't pass
    • If you pass the ogres agree to leave and you get a slightly different ending text
    • If you fail the leader orders the other ogres to attack you and you are forced to fight all five ogres in order:
      • Ogre (1 of 4) (9+ at MR 42-44 Approx, 45-49 SP, 2-17 XP), you have to attack 1 time before you can flee
      • Ogre (2 of 4) (9+ at MR 42-44 Approx, 45-49 SP, 2-17 XP), special attack can do 12 damage, you have to attack 1 time before you can flee
      • Ogre (3 of 4) (9+ at MR 42-44 Approx, 45-49 SP, 2-18 XP), special attack can do 15 damage, you have to attack 1 time before you can flee
      • Ogre (4 of 4) (9+ at MR 43-44 Approx, 45-49 SP, 2-18 XP), you have to attack 1 time before you can flee
      • Ogre Leader (9+ at MR 50 Exact, 55 SP, 3-33 XP), you have to attack 1 time before you can flee
  • Decide against confronting the ogres - the adventure ends. No rewards.

If you kill the ogres (regardless of the exact decisions you made) you search their camp and find 4 Clubs of common quality, the leader's sturdy Spiked Club and some gold (70-90).

If you flee from any of the ogres the adventure ends with no rewards for you.

Rewards[]

If you manage to get rid of the ogres (the exact way you do it doesn't matter):

  • 64 general experience if you manage to surprise the ogres
  • 64 Diplomacy experience if you successfully persuade them to leave
  • If you kill the ogres you find:
  • 128 general experience

If you do not get rid of the ogres you get nothing.
