Kneeling before the silver pool in the Cathedral of Silver Rain, in Talinus. Doing so will remove the curse from Iakor's weapon, change your alignment instantly to "Neutral" (this can be further improved with subsequent visits to the pool), and reward you with 64 general XP. Thus transformed, Iakor's weapon can still be exchanged for a Shimmering Silver one at Mezaryl's, as described below.
Trading it with Mezaryl for one of the Shimmering Silver weapons (they have almost the same stats (SS weapons have an extra +1 spirit bonus) but turn you Saintly)
