Nothing Edit

You find nothing of interest.

A Small Dark Cave Edit

A randomly-generated cave with the same rules as the dark cave you can encounter in several other explorable areas, but with two differences:

  • There are fewer enemies - 7(min.)-13(max.) .
  • After accepting a certain quest you can find 6 of the 7 items you promised to find - one at a time, found at random after defeating all enemies.
(Of note: a significant third difference appears to be the list of possible enemies. Typical are the Blood Grub (9+ at MR 36-38 Approx, ~43 SP), and somewhat more terrifying is the Giant Rot Snail (9+ at MR 87-?? Approx, ?? SP).)

Also encountered on 12/23/2011, Giant Carnage Crawler (9+ at MR 148-?? Approx, 221 SP).

A Dark and Foreboding Cave Edit

You meet Arkigarn the Sea Dragon. See The Sea Dragon for details.

A Well-Concealed Cave Edit

There are two paths inside the cave. Whichever one you choose, there will be a trap, on your way in; Random check (1-100 + Woodsmanship * 0.25 + Aura * 1 + Luck * 0.5). 50 or more needed to pass. nothing happens if you pass. (You don't need to worry about these traps when exiting, they're 'gone'.)
Eventually you will reach a large, sloping, semicircular chamber deep in the cave. Inside is a savage ogre who attacks you, and you can flee, in which case you go all the way back outside, or fight One-Eyed Ogre (9+ at MR 74-75 Approx, 250-267 SP, 1+ XP), special attack consists of a devastating blow dealing ~9-23 SP damage, you have to attack 3 times before you can flee.
After slaying the ogre, you receive 512 XP to general and 32 XP to All Skills and Powers. You also take the ogre's Gnarled Wooden Amulet, and find over half dozen potentially worthwhile loot items (total nominal value of ~2000-2300 witnessed) scattered about his cave chamber, along with a fair amount(47-315 witnessed) of gold tokens.

The Giant Takabak Edit

On one of the ledges, a gigantic bird attempts to prey on you. Giant Takabak (9+ at MR 75 Exact, 125-141 SP, 1+ XP), special does ~6-8 SP damage, you have to attack 2 times before you can flee. (May be worth 16+ combat XP as of Oct 2011.)
You receive 256 general XP for defeating the takabak.

Body of a chain-clad man Edit

You come upon the corpse of a chain-clad man who seems to have fallen to his death from one of the ledges above. On his person you find a pouch containing 17 gold and a Set of Triangular Bone Dice.
